What is NIMART
Nurse Initiated Management of Antiretroviral Therapy (NIMART) is a Basic HIV Management course that has been developed to improve the health and survival of people living with HIV (PLHIV). It does this by equipping Registered and Professional Nurses with the knowledge, attitudes and skills to initiate and manage clients on anti-retroviral therapy (ART).

What is NIMART Community
It is platform for nurses trained or interested in NIMART where we share ideas, discuss cases, keep updated, provide psychosocial support and advocate for recognition of the discipline and its impact on the response to the HIV epidemic. The NIMART community was started by Dr Lesego Mawela who has vast experience is HIV care, has trained thousands of Nurses in NIMART and therefore their clinical mentor. He sees this platform as a digital extension of his clinical mentoring role so he can care for more and more People Living with HIV through NIMART nurses. How much is the joining fee?
The community is free and open to registered and professional nurses who are either trained as NIMART nurses or interested to be trained as NIMART nurses. No payment is required to join
